HVAC and ventilation network

In recent months, Pinto & Cruz – Installations and Maintenance has been carrying out the work of remodeling the air conditioning and ventilation network of the Pulmonary Vascular Disease Unit Service of the University Hospital Center of Porto.

This work consisted of the supply and installation of 6 air conditioning units, monosplit wall type, one in the entrance hall with a power of 3.5 kW and the rest in five cabinets with a power of 2 kW.

As for the ventilation system, a heating battery was added in the new air treatment unit (UTAN) in order to have an air conditioning system with heating/cooling. A new network of supply ducts was built and the extraction network of the system in question was reformulated, thus allowing us to have a properly air-conditioned space.

Alongside this work, the supply and installation of nine air conditioning equipment for the Clinical Hematology + Blood Donors Service was also carried out.

Mural monosplit type equipment was used, four with a power of 2.5 kW, four with a power of 3.5 kW and one with a power of 10 kW. These replaced air conditioning equipment with R22 refrigerant fluid, which is already prohibited from handling on the market.
